Early morning on the Common
Can you believe it’s August already? Lots of exciting news to share this month.
Firstly, the website has had an overhaul and I think you will agree Tim has done a fantastic job. It is much more user friendly.
Secondly, we are delighted to welcome Good Small Farms who join Salt Bakehouse on a Tuesday morning from 10.30 -11.30 on the forecourt.
Good Small Farms are based at Wick Street on the edge of Stroud and are growing organic seasonal produce regeneratively. Proving that growing and supplying food locally can be both sustainable and profitable. You may have come across them at the farmers market in Stroud, I had some of their salad at the weekend and it was fabulous. Please do support them and come and buy your seasonal fruit and vegetables on a Tuesday morning on the forecourt. Also ask them about their fabulous grass fed Hereford Beef which is available from their freezer.
SHOP NEWS …….
The shop team are ready for summer with some new additions some fabulous granola bars from local producer Forthay who are based in Uley.Lots of you already love their granola and muesli which has had a rather lovely packaging overhaul.
CAFE NEWS …..
This months ‘special’ in the cafe is a fruit scone with butter and jam £3.75. Spread the word!!!
The cafe team are delighted to announce that the new oven will be arriving on 7th August.
This has been made possible because of a generous donation (£809) from the family of Lynne Edmunds, a £500 grant from the Langtree Trust and £900 from the proceeds of the 2nd Anniversary event.
It will allow the cafe team to extend the menu and offer a faster hot food service. Watch this space for Autumn menu additions.

a little note on parking……….
Parking on the forecourt is for blue badge holders only. We would ask you kindly not to park on the gravel or on the forecourt unless you are loading and unloading for the parish rooms or are a blue badge holder. School, playgroup, walkers and emergency vehicles all need to safely access the forecourt and they can’t do this if it is being used as a car park.
