Nurturing new skills and confidence

We’re proud to support young people completing their Duke of Edinburgh awards. Many local participants train and volunteer with us every year, gaining real workplace experience. From customer service to teamwork and confidence‑building, they develop skills that stay with them long after their award is complete. Their achievements matter to us, and we’re glad to be a place where young people can grow, contribute, and succeed within their own community.

Our local school take-over, once a term, gives 11 year olds a chance to find out what real-world workplaces are like, learn about food safety and hygiene and get a little experience serving the public. It’s fun, with a real and valuable benefit to the young ones in our village and we enjoy sharing this experience with them.

Supporting Friday Cuppa and Coffee Mornings

Friday cuppa brings some of the older members of our community together for a breath of fresh air and a good natter. We love seeing familiar faces and new faces too. Whilst Friday cuppa is a regular coffee catch-up the café hub also raises money for charity with its MacMillan coffee mornings and supporting the renowned Amberley Cow Hunt.

Our thanks goes to all our customers for their support and for bringing life to hub every day.

Much of what we do is made possible by the shop and café and we would like to thank you for every coffee, jar or jam or emergency milk you have bought from us.

Owned by you, run by you, for you. We are the Amberley shop and café and so much more.
