Don’t forget that Salt Bakehouse are outside in the forecourt every Tuesday morning between 10.30 and 11.30 with their van selling delicious sourdough bread and pastries.
Their delicious sourdough is perfect for rolling out a quick nibble if you have unexpected guests for drinks or lunch. Grill slices of sourdough, rub with a cut clove of garlic, drizzle with some nice extra virgin olive oil or flavoured oil and a sprinkle of seasalt. Top with a seasonal topping like fresh tomatoes and basil, or roasted peppers from a jar -there are some fabulous jars of antipasti in the shop currently. If you want to make it a quick lunch spread the toast with soft goats cheese before adding the toppings and pile some dressed salad leaves on top - yum!
The shop team have been busy with a Mexican theme this month, including some fabulous taco recipe kits - great for getting those teenagers in your house cooking!
