Shop News.
Another busy month for the Amberley Shop and Cafe with lots of support for our events from the community including the ever-popular Cow Hunt, which raised an enormous sum as always.
A big thank you to all of the young volunteers who helped in the tea tent for the weekend, and to all of the additional volunteers who helped in the shop and cafe.
Huge congratulations to Rebecca who is one of the shift leaders in the shop, she recently ran the London Marathon and raised over £6000 for cancer research. An amazing achievement.
In recognition of the upcoming World Cup which begins on the 11th of June, we have an exciting addition to the shelves in the shop. The ever popular iced biscuits are now available in football form!
Don’t forget that Salt Bakehouse are outside in the forecourt every Tuesday morning between 10.30 and 11.30 with their van selling delicious sourdough bread and pastries.
The Volunteers, and there are many who volunteer behind the scenes as well as behind the counter, had a splendid, jolly get together in the parish rooms in late April. There was a wine and cheese tasting quiz, a tasting of cheese’s and lots of fun was had by all. If you would like to join the merry band of volunteers, Alison’s contact details are at the bottom of this email, please do drop her a line.
