I saw a lovely recipe for a quick Christmas canapé this week on my internet travels and most of the ingredients are available in the shop. Slice ready made puff pastry into squares and pop each square in to the dip of a 12 hole baking tin. Add a little onion marmalade to the bottom of each, then a slice of brie with the rind trimmed, then half a slice of parma ham and finally a little sprig of fresh rosemary, bake till puffy and golden in a hot oven and you have the perfect quick canapé to serve to unexpected Christmassy guests!

Café News

Our November cake of the month is a delicious moist lemon slice, perfect with a cup of tea on a rainy afternoon.

The new menu in the cafe is proving popular, everyone is delighted that soup is back and the new oven has allowed us to extend the menu to include toasted sandwiches. you can view the full menu on the website here.

MUSICAL SUNDAYS are back from December! Come and start the festive season with a jolly singalong accompanied by mince pies from the cafe. Everyone welcome to what should be a lovely fun afternoon.

a little note on parking……….

Parking on the forecourt is for blue badge holders only. We would ask you kindly not to park on the gravel or on the forecourt unless you are loading and unloading for the parish rooms or are a blue badge holder. School, playgroup, walkers and emergency vehicles all need to safely access the forecourt and they can’t do this if it is being used as a car park.

From Alison our volunteer co-ordinator…….
